Everything TechSprint built toward — foundation sessions, prep workshops, team formation — converged on this: 24 hours, 200+ participants, multiple tracks, and real projects built under real pressure.
This was the biggest student-organized hackathon at Galgotias University in recent memory.
Tracks — Three main tracks: AI/ML applications, Web & Full-Stack, and Systems & Infrastructure. Each had its own problem statements and judging criteria. Teams self-selected.
Mentorship — Active mentorship from industry engineers across the event. Not just prize judges at the end — working mentors available throughout the build.
Submissions — Code + 5-minute demo presentation. Judged on technical depth, originality, completeness, and pitch clarity.
24-hour hackathons have a specific arc. The first 4 hours are chaotic — ideas changing, teams reorganizing, scope ballooning. Hours 8–16 are the grind — heads down, everything breaking. The last stretch is the sprint — everyone finds energy they didn't know they had.
Watching teams present at the end, clearly exhausted and clearly proud of what they'd built, is the best part of organizing these events.
Genuinely impressive work came out of this. AI-powered tools, full-stack applications with real deployment pipelines, and systems projects that went well beyond what you'd expect from a student team given 24 hours.
The best projects had one thing in common: they solved a real problem someone on the team had actually experienced.
